Product Videos
New feature as of 05/20/2021
Exciting news! You can now add videos to show in the same area as photos on the Product Detail Page.
The video needs to either exist on YouTube or Vimeo to be embedded.
Watch for more details on how to implement this coming soon.
Videos can cause long loading times. We will be rolling out a project to create short 30-60 second videos that will be optimized specifically for the shop. Ideally videos will be hosted on Vimeo though videos can be on YouTube.
Videos that are hosted on YouTube can cause shoppers to leave the shop area as YouTube may display other videos after the initial video plays. Vimeo should be used whenever possible and videos optimized for quick loading.
ADD A VIDEO
To add a video, navigate to the Product page for the SKU. Click on INVENTORY > MODIFY INVENTORY > UPLOAD/MANAGE INVENTORY IMAGES
Click on NEW.
PINK: Add a short description of video here.
GREEN: Checkmark that it is a video then from the “External Video Type” click YouTube or Vimeo from the dropdown selector.
YELLOW: Copy and Paste the Vimeo URL or the YouTube URL in the “External Video URL” field.
ORANGE: If you are ready for the video to show on the shop, click on ACTIVE and then enter a SORT ORDER number, typically “5”. Videos should come after the default image and any glamour shots.
Click SAVE then check the SKU on the shop to ensure everything is working as anticipated.
