Landing Page

Landing Page

The Landing Page for the shopping cart is the very first page that a Business Partner or a Customer see when they enter the shopping cart. By default, the page is a list of all products that are available for sale, prioritized by the inventory’s sort order (with a secondary sorting of the Product ID). Because this list can be overwhelming, it is recommended to guide the user by utilizing the Product Categories page in place of the All Products.

How the landing page works

Once the aforementioned setting is enabled for the territory in question, if configured correctly the landing page will convert from the “All Products” (Option 1) to the Product Categories functionality (Option 2). See examples of each below.

Option 1

This has been the default view on store.kyani.com with all active products lumped into one long scrolling page with limited options on how the products are displayed.

Option 2

This NEW layout (as of 05/07/21) creates sections for each category and helps change the way the content is presented upon arriving at store.kyani.com. The new design has the following features:

  • Banner/Header: The banner image that most markets have been using in the past to advertise is the same banner that is now on the landing page.

  • The navigation bar categories do not necessarily have to show on the main page. You can display as many or as few category sections as you want.

  • Each section is made up of a (1) Category Banner Image, (2) a 2-3 sentence blurb that explains and entices someone to want to shop in this section of the shop, and (3) a number of products displayed based on the sort order of the category page.

Note that there are multiple configurations for each category section based on a 4 part grid.

  • 1 Copy + 3 Images

  • 2 Copy + 2 images

  • 3 Copy + 1 image

  • Copy can also go above the product images + 4 images underneath

  • You can have “unlimited” number of images based on how many skus are in any given category.

We have experimented with the various layouts and have found the 1 column of short Copy block plus 3 products seems to best represent each section.
